PHP is a scripting language for programming on the side of the server known as Hypertext Preprocessor. It was invented by Rasmus Lendorf in 1995 for personal needs. The language has undergone numerous changes, and today in its 5.3.10 version it is the most widely used language of this type. It is used by all – Facebook, Google, Yahoo and many others. We offer you a professional development of web sites by using the PHP scripting language combined with many other technologies.
How does PHP actually work? Programmers write PHP scripts which are stored on a web server. The web server contains a PHP interpreter which translates the code – a dynamic web site is created that can be seen by the user in his internet browser. The web site can be created on the data base (eg. MySQL data base). When the client sends a request to the web server for a dynamic PHP web site, the server is configured to recognize the extension .php and forwards the PHP files to the interpreter who further forwards the SQL request the the server.
After processing the request the results are returned to the server and are finally shown in the client’s browser.Although it is represented as the programming language on the side of the server, PHP is much more than that. To begin with, it can be used in all more important operation systems – Linux, Unix, Windows, MacOS and it supports today’s web servers. Today PHP supports procedural and object-oriented programming and the user has a complete freedom of choice.
There are three main fields of PHP use:
One of the most important characteristics of PHP is the support for many databases. Programming web sites which use databases is very simple thanks to PHP. PHP is most commonly used in combination with MySQL databases. The communication support with other services by using protocols such as LDAP, IMAP, SNMP, NNTP, POP3, HTTP, COM and many others shouldn’t be forgotten. An example of a simple PHP script can be seen here. The server will carry out the given PHP code and the user will see it in its final form ‘Greetings! This is PHP script’ in the web browser.
In practice using PHP, of course, is much more complex. Our team has a lot of experience with PHP script language and will professionally and efficiently develop your program solution.
